I adopted Tucker March 27th 2012. It was a great day. We just celebrated his 5th year with us. We thank Susie for rescuing him until we could adopt him and give him a forever home. We love him so much. Great job ARRF. Susie is great with dogs and people too. If I get to the point that I need another dog, I will sure see her. ARRF is a great organization.

We adopted Saucy last week. She is quickly filling a empty spot we had in our heart. We lost a pet after 15 years and was unsure about getting another. ARRF was able to unite us with Saucy. Everyday that empty spot get a little smaller. Saucy is so full of live. She has turned out to be a little clown and keeps us laughing. Thanks to Suzi and everyone at ARRF.

Queenie has passed on, her spirit was willing, but her body wasn't. She was greatly loved, and greatly missed. I do thank you for a great girl

We adopted our sweet Izzy (aka Rumpy) about a month ago and she is so sweet! ARRF was so easy to work with and Izzy was well taken care of before we adopted her. We went from an elderly Great Dane (who we miss greatly) to a puppy so we are getting our exercise again :) Thank you!

Just wanted to let you know that our beloved Blue II went to the Rainbow Bridge on July 6th. We learned in April that Blue had MMM (myositis) and he was immediately put on prednisone which helped tremendously. Unfortunately, he had oral cancer which we did not know about until the prednisone encouraged its growth. We were so thankful to have Blue with us for four wonderful years. He would be 11 this coming September. What a wonderful and loving companion he was all the way til the end. We miss you, Blue, and thank you Miss Suzi for entrusting this beautiful soul to us.

Hi, I adopted Lola just two days ago and already has won a place in my heart. She is so sweet and gentle and so very patient with her baby brother who (as brothers will be) is a pest. Thanks so much for allowing Lola to become a part of my family.

On behalf of my beautiful girls, Kia & Kamry: Kamry came from ARRF nearly a year and a half ago and I couldn't love anyone like I love her. She is the most loving, amazing little girl. I adopted Kamry because Kia needed a best friend to play with and love. The two are quite literally inseparable. They spend their days together loving one another as far more than best friends; as adoptive sisters. The love that emanates between these two and myself wouldn't be possible without ARRF. Thank you to Suzi and her volunteers! You're changing more lives than you'll ever know!

We adopted Missy one week ago and she is a dream. So friendly and active. Loves playing and taking walks. She has made our home copmplete.

Message From: Larry and VivianThompson June 15, 2013
We just wanted to let you know that Duncan and Pippin love their new home and have adjusted well. After losing our last rescue after six wonderful years we said there would be no more because the heartbreak was too much. These two came into our lives and we love them so much already. Pippin loves her "big brother" Duncan so much and he has ready helped her adjust to all the stress she has been though lately. They were ready meant to be together we are so blessed that we took both of them. My husband says God lead me to you guys last Saturday afternoon so we could adopt our babies.

Dear Susie, I adopted Tucker from you on march 27th 2012. He was very shy, skidish and had no confidence at all. of course we do not know what his past was like but you rescued him and helped him until I found him and adopted him. He has now built up some confidence and is still trying to get used to people and things. Needless to say he has become a very valued member of my family. We have taken him on trips to the mountains and the lake and have cherished the chance to let him experience life to the fullest. I needed him as much as he needed me. When I came to you i had lost a loving, wonderful dog that I had for 14 years. I thought I would never be able to live without him. With your help and Tucker's help we have bonded and become true friends forever. I just want to thank you for your love for the dogs and allowing me to give him a second chance at life. he so deserves it. he has really sdhown me how smart he is. he can sit, stay, shake, speak and has the sweetest disposition. He has filled a void that I didn't know could be filled. I hope you have an awesome day everyday. Please keep up the good work. I am sure the Good Lord above has a special place reserved for you. Dan

BILL AND I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THE BABIES ARE DOING GREAT. THEY ARE DOING REALLY WELL WITH HOUSE TRAINING AND THE FAMILY IS WARMING UP TO THEM (SOME MORE THRILLED THAN OTHERS). THEY ARE LEARNING TO SIT AND HEEL TOO (WITH A SNACK, OF COURSE). OUR LIVING ROOM LOOKS LIKE A DOGGIE DAY CARE, THERE ARE SO MANY TOYS BUT OF COURSE THEY ONLY WANT THE TOY THE OTHER ONE HAS. THEY LOVE TO EXPLORE OUT SIDE AND LAY ON TOP OF THE FLOWERS. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. DARLA (SHEENA) IS SO FEARLESS WHILE NALA (SUZIE) IS A SNUGGLE BUTT. WE CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE FOR THEM AND ALL THE ANIMALS YOU HELP. THEY HAVE BROUGHT US SO MUCH JOY AND WE ARE VERY THANKFUL FOR THE ADDITIONS TO THE FAMILY. YOU TRULY DO AMAZING WORK AND CHANGE THE LIVES OF THE ANIMALS BUT ALSO THE FAMILIES WHO ADOPT THEM. WE WILL KEEP SENDING PICS SO YOU CAN WATCH THEM GROW.

We just adopted Hank aka (Ruddy) we've had him just 3 days but we have already fell in love with this gental giant. He is smart as a tack, and so loving, and would not think twice about taking him. I love how the people with this rescue, goes beyound to save these animals. Just to think my Hank would been put down if it wasnt for the ARRF rescue, I will be forever thankful to them, because I would have never been able to have this love bug in my life. I will always go thru this group to rescue my rottweilers, because they work so hard to fit the right dog with your family. Hank aka(Ruddy) has found his forever home.

Wanted to give you an update on "Harper". We renamed her upon adopting her, she is now Sable. We are completely in love with her! She is the best dog we could have ever gotten. She has also lead us to absolutely love rotties. She had her second birthday last month and loves toy, playing with her dog friends, and laying around with her human mommy! We are looking to add another dog to our family and are really thinking about adopting another rottie from the rescue!

Hello ARRF! We adopted Lucy approximately three months ago and already we can't imagine life without her! She is the warmest, sweetest dog we could have hoped for. She has adjusted beautifully to life with us. We really recommend adopting an adult dog- Lucy has not chewed ANYTHING other than a toy and has had zero accidents! We feel lucky to have found Lucy. She has a wonderful temperament and she lives up to her name- everyone Loves Lucy!

I was blessed with the best rottie in life, with the exception of some health issues (ALLERGIES). Jai's personality was so welcoming with anyone that he came into contact with including other animals. I had to put my baby down on Oct 29, 2009 and am seriously toying with the idea of getting another one. If i was rich, I would house a million Rotties, cause they simply are the best ... big ole teddy bears. I am thinking about adopting in June/July after vacation, and feel that God will bless me with the dog that I can give my best too. These dogs give so much "unconditional" love ... it is so amazing. Visiting this site, helps me heal and remember that I loved the touch, the laughter, and all that goes with these dogs. Thanks for letting me share ...

My husband and I adopted Rea in November. She has truly been a blessing to our home! She is so delicate with our two young girls and loves to cuddle up with our 5 year old rottie. I don't know what life was ever like withour her! We encourage everyone to experience adoption. i honestly believe these animals know that you are their forever parent and that they show their gratitude daily! I know REA does! Thank you AARF for becoming a part of our family!

Hey guys! I got Abby and she's awesome! To all potential adoptors, please, please adopt a dog with a disability. They are the most wonderful and caring. Please give them a good home. Remember that no pet is a perfect pet and even the prettiest have health problems. Abby is perfect to me because of love and companionship. I adore her!

I just wanted to say that you all are great for what you are doing. Rots are great dogs. I always wanted one, and recently I got my wish. I recused a 8 month old rotti male, named Max from Onslow County Animal Shelter. They was going to put him down that day. But we saved him just in time. He is a wonderful boy, and him and my 3 year old are the best of friends. Keep up the good work. And Thanks you for the work and lives you save with this wonderful breed!!!

At times I send emails out to rescues for urgent Rotties in shelters with the hope a rescue can save them. My Rottie Sheba was from a shelter and had been abused. I think it's fantastic what you do for these gentle giants and I hope my emails reach you so you can save more.

I must say, this site is wonderful and I truly love what you all are doing for these dogs and the breed itself. Many people assume cause these dogs are large that they are going to bite or might be dangerous. Rottweilers are one of the most loyal and kind dogs that I know. let me be one of the first to say... It doesnt matter the size of dog you have whether they are large or small. It all matters on how you care and treat your dog while they are growing up that matters. I had a pitbull terrier and she was the biggest baby and would never harm a soul. I miss her dearly and that is why I am here... hoping to bring home a Rottie to help the cause and to bring more happiness into my life.

I found a beaten and left behind Rottie 7 yrs. ago and adopted her. She had many horror stories as she was afriad of sticks, brooms, and even balls. After many months of work with her, Brandy become the most wonderful animal i have ever had. She is dedicated and loyal and so loving. She was diagonsed last week with bone cancer in her front right leg. I have trouble getting her out of the house as she has 4 steps to down any way she goes outside. I have tried many home remedies of a doggie ramp but none are perfect as she is 130 lbs and 6' 2". I am un-employed and have already spent over $1000.00 in dr. bills. I am trying to find someone that may have a used dog ramp 6 ft. or longer they would sell very resoanable to help Brandy have better days to her end comes. Thank you all for being Rottie lovers as you all know they are the most wonderful, loving animals. Brandy
